DR S ACEY
M.B B Ch DRCOG FRCGP Dip Clin Ed
Born in Seaford on the south coast. He qualified from Manchester University in 1988. He trained in Burnley, Blackburn and Pontefract before moving to the North East in 1993. He is a GP Trainer and GP Tutor for Hartlepool. He is interested in medical education, child health and mental health problems. He has four children, is a keen supporter of Manchester United, enjoys reading and listening to a variety of music.

DR J MCKENZIE
MBBS Diploma FSRH
Born in Scarborough and moved to Teesside 23 years ago. She went to school in Redcar and trained at Newcastle University, qualifying in 2006. She has worked in hospitals in Teesside throughout her training and joined the local GP training scheme before joining the Practice in August 2011. She initially joined as a salaried doctor but became a partner in April 2012. She has an interest in sexual health and contraception, fits and removes coils and implants within the Practice. She has twins- a boy and girl- born in January 2016.
DR R ROBERTS
MB ChB MRCGP DFFP
Joined the Practice in August 1999, having trained in our Practice on the Cleveland Vocational Training Scheme. She has passed her MRCGP with a merit grade, was awarded the Ruth Dunlop award for GP Trainee of the year on the Cleveland GP Training Scheme and obtained the RCGP Certificate in Drug Addiction Treatment in 2002. She is still an active member of the Cleveland Local Medical Committee and was in post as Chairman from 2006-2009. Dr Roberts is also an elected Director of Hartlepool and Stockton Health (H&SH) the GP federation (a group of local General Practices working together to lead happy, strong and sustainable out of hospital care. Our goal is to improve the health and wellbeing of local people and our healthcare teams.) As well as working part time in the practice she is married with two children and a dog.

Salaried GPs
There are four salaried GP’s, all providing face to face and or telephone review appointments.
Nurse Practitioners
We have two Nurse Practitioners. Our Nurse Practitioners are Nurses who have spent three years obtaining their qualification as a registered Nurse. In addition to this, they have completed training in Prescribing and Clinical Skills. The courses are completed through a university and registered with the nursing professional body. The Nurse Practitioners have experience in managing chronic as well as acute medical problems. They can assess, investigate, diagnose, and prescribe for conditions within their areas of competency. They work alongside the GP's to provide holistic care.
Nurses
We have five Practice Nurses.
The team are trained to give independent advice on a wide variety of health problems and long term conditions as well as carrying out vaccination, dressings and removing sutures.
Health Care Assistants
The Practice has two Health Care Assistants who provides nursing support to the Nurse Team and General Practitioners to ensure the efficient and effective provision of the full range of nursing services to the patients of the practice.
Our Health Care Assistants carry out Phlebotomy, first part of your long term reviews, wound care, and some medication injections.
Phlebotomists
The Practice has one Phlebotomist who provide a venepuncture service to the patients to support the ongoing care from the Nursing team and the General Practitioners.
Practice Management
The Practice Manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The Practice Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.
Administration
We have two admin support staff who support the admin and management teams, three Data Entry Clerks, nine Practice Assistants and three Practice Secretaries. All teams help towards supporting a good quality patient centred care approach.There is one Domestic at Brierton Medical Centre who ensures the building is clean, tidy and ready to welcome patients.
Pharmacists
We have one Practice Pharmacist who provides medicines management advice, support and annual medication reviews via telephone consultations or face to face.
Attached Staff
Havelock Grange Practice are part of a Primary Care Network (PCN). You may also be seen be a member of One Life Hartlepool Primary Care Network including One Life Hartlepool PCN Social Prescriber Link Workers, One Life Hartlepool PCN Care Co-ordinator, One Life Hartlepool Fist Contact Practitioner, One Life Hartlepool Mental Health Practitioner.
Community staff are no longer attached to Practices in Hartlepool. They are in three locality teams based geographically in the South, Central and Northern areas of the town. The team involved in your care depends on the area in which you live. If you require any of these services you will be referred into the appropriate team by the Practice.
PCN Clinical Pharmacists
Our Primary Care Network Pharmacists look after your medication and provide clinics for monitoring specific medications
PCN First Contact Practitioner
We have a team of First Contact Practitioners, through the Primary Care Network who are able to assist with all musculoskeletal issues, such as back, neck and joint pain by assessing and diagnosing. They give expert advice on how to best manage your condition.
PCN Mental Health Practitioner
Our Primary Care Network of Mental Health advisors offer assessment and provide guidance to patient who are experiencing mental health difficulties.
PCN Social Prescribers
Our Social Prescribers team through the Primary Care Network are able to assist with connecting people to activities, groups and services within the community to meet practice, social and emotional needs that are affecting their health and wellbeing.
PCN Health and Wellbeing Coaches
Health and Wellbeing Coaches support people to increase their ability to self-manage and reduce risks of developing further issues with lifestyle measures, such as weight management and physical activity support. This is achieved through coaching sessions, that will help people to increase their own motivation levels and their commitment to change their lifestyle. Health Coaches support activity involvement, such as walking/exercise groups, to increase your confidence. They can support you to improve conditions like diabetes and high cholesterol and they also run groups for healthy eating and pain management
Health Visitor
A Health Visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
