Appointments
Signposting
When booking an appointment our reception staff will ask a few simple details about your request, simply so they can direct you to the person most suitable to help you with your problem.
- Receptions then signpost the patient to most appropriate source to help, this could be within the Practice, or within our local community.
- This can be one of many community services or self care options.
- This is to help make sure you receive:
- The most appropriate medical care
- From the most appropriate health professional
- At the most appropriate time

Home Visits
Whilst we encourage our patients to visit us in the Practice, where we have the most appropriate equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. If you do need a home visit, you can help us by contacting the Practice on the dedicated telephone number 01429 287940 before 10:00.
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your clinician will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls.
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your clinician. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
